Pool calculators that do the arithmetic for you
Most pool dosing mistakes are arithmetic, not chemistry — a volume that was guessed years ago, or a product strength nobody checked. These 12 calculators cover the math that actually comes up at the equipment pad.

Pool Volume Calculator
Work out how many gallons or liters your pool holds, in feet or meters. Covers rectangles, circles, ovals and freeform shapes, and pools with a deep end.
Open calculatorPool Chemistry Calculator
Enter your test results and get a plan: what to add, how much of it, and in what order, from chlorine through alkalinity, pH, calcium, stabilizer and salt.
Open calculatorChlorine Dosage Calculator
How much chlorine to add to reach your target, in gallons or liters. Covers liquid chlorine, bleach, cal hypo and dichlor, with shock levels scaled to your CYA.
Open calculatorpH and Alkalinity Calculator
Work out how much muriatic acid, soda ash or baking soda to add to move pH and total alkalinity into range, in gallons or liters.
Open calculatorPool Pump Running Cost Calculator
See what your pump costs to run per season, and what switching to variable speed at a lower RPM would actually save you.
Open calculatorPool Pump and Filter Sizing Calculator
Work out the flow your pool needs, whether your pipes can carry it, and the pump and filter that handle it, from volume, turnover and pipe size.
Open calculatorLSI Calculator (Langelier Saturation Index)
Work out your pool’s Langelier Saturation Index from pH, temperature, hardness, alkalinity and CYA, and see whether the water is corrosive or scaling.
Open calculatorPool Salt Calculator
How much salt to add to hit your target, in pounds or kilograms and whole bags. Also works out how much water to replace when the salt level is too high.
Open calculatorCYA Reduction Calculator
Cyanuric acid only leaves a pool with the water. Work out exactly how much to drain and replace to bring a high CYA reading back to target.
Open calculatorPool Heater Sizing and Heat-Up Calculator
What size heater your pool needs, in BTU or kW, how long it takes to reach temperature, and what that heat costs on gas, propane or a heat pump.
Open calculatorPool Shock Calculator
Work out your shock level from your CYA, how much chlorine the whole job takes, and whether diluting the stabilizer first would be cheaper.
Open calculatorPool Bucket Test Calculator
Enter how far the bucket and the pool dropped, and see whether it is a leak or evaporation, how many gallons or liters a day, and where to look.
Open calculatorA word on precision
These calculators give you a starting dose, not a laboratory value. Real pools have inaccurate volumes, products that lose strength on the shelf, and test kits with their own error bars. The professional habit is the same one I would give you in person: add about two-thirds of any correction, circulate for a full turnover, retest, and finish the job. It is slower on paper and much faster in practice.
