Aiper Scuba X1
Aiper's Scuba X1: four motors, 14 ultrasonic sensors and 180 minutes a charge, the one filter Aiper sells for it, and Aiper's warning about stolen units.

The Scuba X1 is the base model of Aiper's X1 line: four brushless motors, 6,600 gallons per hour, 14 ultrasonic sensors and a 5-liter filter box, for the floor, walls and waterline. Aiper's US store listed it at $799.99 against a regular $1,499.99 when this page was checked.
What it cleans
Aiper rates it for in-ground pools up to 2,150 square feet and 66 feet long, in concrete, fiberglass, vinyl or tile, at depths of 1.6 to 10 feet. Its store FAQ says the sensors see obstacles up to 6 meters away, and that it scrubs up to 2 inches above the waterline.
Against the rest of the line, by Aiper's comparison: the X1 Pro keeps the motors and suction and adds sensors, mapping and raised platforms; the X1 Pro Max has nine motors, 8,500 gallons per hour and surface skimming. Aiper's US store does not list the X1 Pro, and Aiper publishes no manual for it, which is why it has no page here.
Runtime and charging
The manual gives 180 minutes on the 7,800 mAh battery and says the battery cannot be replaced. A recharge takes about 4 hours.
There are two ways to charge it. On the dock, dry the metal contacts on the robot's underside first; the manual says never to put it on wet. Or plug the charger into the port on the robot. Aiper's store calls the dock wireless, but the X1's own specification table marks wireless charging with a cross, and the contacts are the giveaway. Keep the charging spot at least 11.5 feet from the pool, out of direct sun.
The robot also holds a CR1225 coin cell, and the manual carries the ingestion warning that goes with one.
Modes
The button selects four:
- Smart: the walls, then the floor, with the path planned around the battery level.
- Floor, Wall and Waterline, each on its own.
Use a 2.4 GHz network, or a mixed 2.4 and 5 GHz one. Control in the water needs a HydroComm, sold separately, which Aiper's store calls optional.
Setting it up
- Do not run it alongside a filter, another cleaner or a skimmer. The manual says so.
- Keep the main drain closed while it cleans, or it can sit on the drain until it frees itself.
- Keep everyone out of the pool while it runs.
When the battery runs low and the status light turns solid red, the X1 stops and parks at the edge of the pool. The hook goes on a pool pole.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Empty the filter box after every run. The manual says not to leave the robot in the pool.
- Replace the MicroMesh filter about every 30 uses, though Aiper's US store sells no replacement for the X1.
- Clean the propeller under the drain cover when it needs it.
- Replace the caterpillar tread and the roller brush as they wear. The manual shows how; Aiper does not sell either in the US.
- For winter, charge it fully, power it off, clean and dry it, and recharge it every six months.
When it is not cleaning properly
The manual's troubleshooting table, in short:
- Tilts in the water, or cleans poorly: the filter box is full, the filter is clogged, or, with a flashing red light, the propeller is jammed.
- Solid red light: below 15% battery. Charge it.
- Sits on the main drain: keep the drain closed while it cleans. It frees itself.
- Hangs at the waterline: a bump the sensor missed. It sinks back down within a minute.
- Bumping into things: wipe the sensor lens with a soft, dry cloth.
- Will not charge: check the charger's plug and its light, and that the battery is between 50°F and 104°F.
Stolen units
Aiper says a shipment of more than 800 Scuba X1s was stolen in transit in the US in May 2025, and that many were resold on secondary marketplaces such as eBay by sellers it has not authorized. By June 2025 more than 120 had been switched on. Aiper locks stolen units remotely when they are activated, and its warranty excludes lost or stolen products and anything bought from an unauthorized seller.
Its notice page has a serial number check. The number is on the rating label under the robot. A buyer who finds they have one is told to ask the seller for a refund and contact Aiper with proof of purchase.
Where Aiper's own pages disagree
- Wireless charging. The store and the series page say yes. The X1's own table says no, and the manual describes a contact dock and a charging port.
- Features. The series page ticks mapping, anti-fall and debris detection for the X1. The X1's own page crosses all three out.
- Modes. The product page says five, the store "4+1", and the manual four.
- Suction. Every Aiper page says 6,600 gallons per hour except one bundle page, which says 70,000.
Buying it
Twenty-four months on the battery and motor. Aiper's policy covers robots bought from Aiper or an authorized seller, and the stolen units make that worth checking twice: buy from Aiper or a seller on its published list, and keep the order number.
Which model do you have?
The model number is on the cleaner label. Everything else in the range is shared — these are the parts that change with it.

| Scuba X1 | PRT1 | PRT1 is the model number in the user manual. Aiper's US store sells it as item AI00456531001, one version, and listed it at $799.99 against $1,499.99 on 14 October 2026. Its serial number is 11 characters, on the rating label under the robot; Aiper's example is T1B51500000. In the box, by the manual: the robot, a charging dock, a charger, a retrieval hook and the manual. Aiper's product page also lists an extra MicroMesh filter. |
Aiper Scuba X1 parts, and what goes wrong
Read off the manufacturer’s parts list and checked before it ships. Open a row for what a bad one actually does — or start from the symptom and work down, which is the cheaper order.
What is it doing?
Aiper sells it for the Scuba X1 and N1 Max and says it catches leaves, twigs and other large debris. The manual's first causes for a robot that tilts or cleans poorly are a full filter box and a clogged filter: empty the box and rinse the filter with a high-pressure hose. Aiper's page gives this filter no micron rating.
Live pricing arrives when the retailer programs are approved.

Aiper Scuba X1 warranty
2 years parts
Twenty-four months on the battery and motor, in the manual, on the store badge and in Aiper's US warranty table, last updated 16 April 2026. The policy covers only robots bought from Aiper or an authorized seller, in the country where the robot was received, and excludes purchases from unauthorized or personal resellers, lost or stolen units, and robots repaired by third parties. That matters more for the X1 than any other Aiper robot: Aiper says more than 800 were stolen in transit in May 2025 and resold through unauthorized sellers, and it locks them remotely when they are switched on. The policy starts the period on the delivery date; the manual says the purchase date. Filters are consumables with a three-month period, and the dock, charger and hook carry six months. Aiper offers paid repair once the warranty ends.
Manufacturer’s termsAiper Scuba X1 parts
Aiper's manual names the X1's parts but numbers none of them, and its US store sells one. That is the Heavy-Duty Filter above. The store has no MicroMesh replacement for the X1; the only one it lists is for the X1 Pro Max. The manual explains how to replace the caterpillar tread and the roller brush, but the store sells neither, and no charger or dock. An Aiper troubleshooting article says replacement baskets for the X1 are not on its website, and to ask for one through the warranty form with the serial number. The battery is sealed in and the manual calls it non-replaceable. For anything else, the route is Aiper support: service@aiper.com, or the repair request form on aiper.com.
